Blame

In the bone-chillingly vast, ever-expanding labyrinth of the Megastructure, a taciturn wanderer named Killy traverses a solar-system-sized nightmare of steel and silicon in a desperate bid to save what remains of humanity. Armed with the devastating Gravitational Beam Emitter, he hunts for the elusive Net Terminal Genes—a lost genetic marker that would allow a human to legally interface with the City’s rogue operating system and halt the genocidal "Safeguard" security programs. His journey is a lonely, millennia-spanning crawl through the ruins of a civilization that forgot how to turn off its own autonomous construction drones, making him the silent, violent bridge between a forgotten biological past and a functional digital future.
