One-Punch Man (Japanese: ワンパンマン, Hepburn: Wanpanman) is a Japanese manga series created by One, originally released as a webcomic in early 2009. It tells the story of Saitama, an independent superhero who, having trained to the point that he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, grows deeply bored from a lack of challenge. He sets out to find stronger opponents, while making allies of other heroes as well.

After rigorously training for three years, the ordinary Saitama has gained immense strength, which allows him to take out anyone and anything with just one punch. He decides to put his new skill to good use by becoming a hero. However, he quickly becomes bored with easily defeating monsters and wants someone to give him a challenge to bring back the spark of being a hero.
